The most asked question on my YouTube channel by far is ”where did you buy your landing net”? The answer to that question is from a UK online tackle dealer called Predator Tackle, you can find them online at predatortackle.co.uk. A very helpful bunch who will answer any questions you have when buying.
This is an unbiased review, I don’t work for any company mentioned in this post. So down to the nitty gritty. This is an expensive bit of kit but an essential addition for landing those bigger fish from rocks, banks or jetties. The telescopic handle at full stretch reaches a massive 5.9 metres or 19 feet 4 inches to be exact. The handle is made from lightweight carbon fibre and it reduces down to 72cm making it highly portable and includes a carry strap for easy mobility, it’s weight is a mere 720g.

The price of the handle at the time of writing 29/03/2026 is £99 GBP, expensive yes but essential as I have said above.

You also need to buy the net head to go with the telescopic handle and my choice is the Spro Freestyle Flick Net Head Carbon fibre. I bought the largest size available. The net head is well made and will screw onto the handle perfectly. I’ve been told the screw fittings are one size fits all so you should have no problems if a different net head is required for your type of angling. Both the net head and the handle are well made from robust materials. However care must be taken when lifting fish as the handles weak point is at the narrow screw fitting end.

When lifting fish out of the water always maintain a 90 degree angle to the water and then lift. Fish larger than 5lb in weight will snap the telescopic pole if you try to lift at a 45 degree angle relative to the water. Used correctly fish into double figures can be lifted without concern.
So £51.99 GBP for the net head above. The carbon fibre rim won’t rust and the net mesh is made from a rubberised material so it will not rot. Total cost is around £150 GBP, expensive but worth every penny in my opinion.
I hope you have found this review to be an interesting, helpful read. If you have or would like more information, please leave a comment. Tightlines!

Excellent 👍 keep up the good work . Maybe look at doing a podcast and putting it on spotify . Should be easy enough done , basically you speaking either infront of a camera in a make shift studio/room or just your voice through a mike . Think it would be really good , especially with all your knowledge. You could structure it from part 1 to what gear is good , to lures , rods ,baits , areas to fish . Real room fishing tips and hints each episode maybe on youtube even . . Basically a fishing video or episode without you lugging gear about with you . Podcasts are a big way to pass over interesting ideas and can listened to all over . Just an idea 💡.
Sounds like a plan Joe, I would have a go for sure…i love writing but the camera oooh my god.
